Ok, so not only did the volcano Eyjafjallajökull cause me to be stuck in New York, and various other East coast cities, for a total of 18 days (boohoo much?!) it also meant me missing out on 3 weeks of crucial growing time. And this is when the plants need you most you see, for support and what not. Luckily for me, I live at home like a child and Mum-Bear-Bev was able to take over as Chief Horticultural and Agricultural Analyst. For the short term.
So now they have been put into their own little pots and are coming along nicely, with a big thanks to Bev, who tells me the exercise was 'tedious and uninteresting'. Alan has now informed that the courgettes do in fact need 1m of space to grow properly. Shit. I really don't think the Fruit and Vegetable Planter is really up to it. So if anyone wants to adopt a courgette plant. Tell me asap, so we can start on the paperwork.
Anyway that is all for now. They are due to hit 'the sack' within the next month. How very exciting.
